W ciągu ostatnich kilku miesięcy pojawiło się sporo nowych funkcji w Office 365. Najważniejsze z nich to zwiększenie limitu skrzynki pocztowej do 50GB (sami przyznacie że to dużo), więcej pojemności w usłudze SkyDrive Pro 25GB, aplikacja Lync dla urządzeń mobilnych, Power BI i wiele innych. Office 365 for business updates:

New Lync usage reports: See Lync use in your business with new reports that show active users, total video and audio minutes, and total time conferencing.

Excel video tutorials app: This new app for Office adds quick access to Excel 2013 tutorials right from within Excel.

Purchase customer GoDaddy domain directly through Office 365: Now you can purchase a customer domain, such as, through GoDaddy directly from within Office 365 and we’ll automatically configure it to work with your Office 365 account.

Updated Lync mobile for Windows Phone and iOS: New Lync mobile app features let you join Lync meetings without an account and start unscheduled conferences from within the app.

SkyDrive Pro for iOS 1.1 app: Better support for viewing and editing documents stored on your iPhone and iPad, and OneNote files open directly in the OneNote app for their respective device.

Search innovations for site and portal design in SharePoint Online: Show dynamic results and content on SharePoint sites using the new Content Search Web Part and cross-site collection publishing.

Office 365 Education updates:

Student Advantage: Office 365 Education institutions who have licensed Office 365 ProPlus or Office Professional Plus for their faculty and staff may provide Office 365 ProPlus for students at no additional charge.

Office 365 for Business updates apply as well.

Developer updates: The newly redesigned site has simplified and consolidated everything that experienced and aspiring Office developers could need. Store improvements: The Office Store is adding support for 5 additional languages, 8 new store fronts, a Seller dashboard, and support for subscription-based apps.


Office 365 for business updates:

Delegate access now available in the Outlook Web App – Set up your account to have another person manage your calendar and email on your behalf.

SharePoint Online improves limits and makes it easier to restore documents – Now upload 2GB files, increased from the previous 250 MB limit, now 10,000 site collections per account, and improved self-restore with a 90-day default recycle bin, document versioning turned on by default for new SkyDrive Pro libraries, and read on for even more update details.

Starting Yammer conversations from documents stored in SharePoint Online – Easily start Yammer conversations about documents stored in SkyDrive Pro and SharePoint with the new Post feature.

Manage spam notifications with Exchange Online Protection – Admins now have more options for how users manage their spam through notifications, and more granular spam policies.

Power Map for Excel updates – Power Map has added a new getting started experience, region based visualization, flat maps, and new video creation tools.

OneNote for iPhone and iPad update – iPad users can now create a new notebook, the apps are reduced in size, Japanese typing is improved, and OneNote now automatically detects if you’re creating a list.

Pin new note to you Windows Phone start menu – New update for Windows Phone lets you now pin a new item to your Windows Phone home screen for starting a new note.

OneNote for Android in more markets worldwide – Download OneNote for Android in over 60 new markets.


Office 365 for business updates:

Exchange Online mailbox sizes are doubling-Individual user mailbox sizes are increasing from 25 GB to 50 GB. Kiosk, Shared, and Resource mailboxes are also increasing in size.

SkyDrive Pro enhancements-SkyDrive Po is increasing the default user storage from 7 GB to 25 GB, and admins are now able to give users additional SkyDrive Pro storage. Users can now upload individual files up to 2 GB in size to their SkyDrive Pro, their Recycle Bin retention default is increasing from 30 to 90 days, and versioning is being turned on by default for newly created SkyDrive Pro libraries.

More easily switch Office 365 plans-A new switch plans wizard helps customers upgrade to higher plans within their service plan family.

Message Center-Office 365 admins can now see important service updates right from within the Office 365 admin center.

Remote PowerShell for Lync Online-Admins can now user PowerShell for Lync Online management and automation.

Lync 2013 Mobile: Get more from your meetings-Mobile apps for iPhone and Windows Phone now support viewing shared meeting content, such as PowerPoint slides or a desktop.

Cascading controls in Access Web App-Build drop-down selectors that show values based on previous selections.

OneNote for Android update for external keyboards-Additional support of English QWERTY keyboards.

Outlook Web App search highlighting has been improved to highlight searched terms throughout the message in the reading pane.

OWA for iPhone and OWA for iPad – Manage email, calendar, and contacts on iOS devices using the mobile optimized Outlook Web App for Office 365 users with Exchange Online

SharePoint Newsfeed app for Windows Store – Read and create posts for your newsfeed, see updates from sites, and snap to the side for better multitasking

Lync 2013 desktop client updates – New features include images in IM chat, see and join Lync meetings from the desktop client directly; meeting organizers can mute IM chat and can manage Q&A with a new presenting tool.

Lync Windows Store App updates – see upcoming meetings and join from within the app, see contacts availability and start chats and calls while Lync is „snapped,” join meetings anonymously, view presenter slides, and more.

Lync meetings improvements – Turn any iPhone and Windows Phone conversation into an online meeting; see and join Lync meetings from the desktop client directly; meeting organizers can mute IM chat and can manage Q&A with a new presenting tool.

Excel Web App updates – New features including freeze panes, header row snapping, sort, hiding worksheets, data validation, and autocomplete.

Opening PDFs in Word Web App – Quickly view PDFs in SharePoint Online and SkyDrive Pro with the Word Web App

OneNote updates for iOS and Android and Windows Store app – OneNote now connects with Office 365 and SkyDrive Pro for notebook storage.  Additional features updated in each app as well.

Password sync now available in DirSync – DirSync can now sync password hashes so that users can login with the same credentials for their company domain and Office 365
